The Carrs to Rossmere (5.5 miles)
Start the walk in the car park at The Carrs park next to St Bartholomew's church. The path leads along the River Bollin, across to the Black Lake on Lindow Common and then along lovely little paths and lanes towards Rossmere. These paths are beautiful in early spring when they are lined with forget-me-nots.
A stroll around the Black Lake is a favourite Sunday activity for many, but do explore the peripheral areas of the Common for some beautiful little pools.
Rossmere is home to the Prince Albert Angling Society. There are some old woodlands around the edge of Rossmere with boggy pools. Lindow Moss is close by if you want to take an interesting diversion.
